The lead organiser for the trek is Dougal Paver, managing director of Paver Downes, Liverpool's leading marketing agency.

A well known friend of Bibendum, he has foresaken alcohol and signed up for a personal trainer in order to get fit for the trip. Needless to say, the restaurateurs of Liverpool are gutted.
